This is not a bee.
I like to think of it as a mystery pollinator on a sunflower.
Full disclosure: I painted this about a month ago. It is today's post because... Some days it rains. Some days your child needs to go to the doctor with an ear infection. Today was both.

It is 4 x 6 inches.

I love the loosely painted petals sort of shooting off to the side and corner. I also appreciate watercolor that has verity without getting crimped or tight. Keep it loose, even through ear aches!

Thank you for the encouragement, Ann! Staying loose is the challenge, isn't it? You should hear the battle in my head as I work! This time zen won.
