Wineberries are in bloom right now! And this painting was inspired by coincidence. Have you ever learned about something new, then suddenly you hear about it again from somebody or something totally unrelated to the first occurrence? It's like the universe is trying to draw your attention to something... For me today, it was wineberries. "Wineberries" is about 5 x 5 inches.

"Pineapple Sectional," a watercolor triptych, will be available at the Triennial Penn Charter Art Show from April 8-14, located at 3000 West School House Lane in Philadelphia 19144. It won't quite look like this since it will be framed, but I just finished it today so I thought I'd share it. Did you know that Columbus first encountered the pineapple in 1493 in the Caribbean? It became a symbol of hospitality because it was quite rare in Europe and if your host served you one it meant you were pretty special. |
