One a Week: 5

Scarlet geraniums are comforting according to the language of flowers. Today's return to watercolor is both a commissioned work and, as it turns out, a great comfort to me. I inherited two geranium plants yesterday from my grandparents who are now reunited in Heaven.

"Scarlet Geranium" is 8 x 10 inches.

how fitting you inherited geraniums from them! seems a good healing thing to do - to paint comforting geraniums.

I had a feeling it seemed right. I actually read about the meaning after I already finished the painting. In spite of that, it fit perfectly.
